Cross-Cultural Team Solutions for Impact

Leading a culturally diverse remote team can be challenging.

Leveraging the potential of different backgrounds and perspectives is the key to coping with disruptive global changes, especially for fast-growing organizations.
And getting everyone to be on the same page, engaged, and proactive is demanding.

Recent transitions to hybrid or fully remote work, organizational restructuring, mergers, business expansions, digital transformation and other changes make it even more difficult to lead cross-cultural teams to success.

We believe that with team alignment, engagement soars, and performance thrives.

That's why we created the Team IMPACTModel, grounded in research (2000+ meta-research participants) and informed by practice (20+ combined years).

With the support our this proprietary diagnostic tool, we support Global Cross-cultural Teams and their Leaders to develop resilience, foster agility, create ownership and become a more efficient and engaged team.
  • As of 2023, globally 12.7% of full-time employees work from home, while 28.2% work with a hybrid model (source: Forbes).
  • 69% of executives rate diversity and inclusion as an important issue in the US. (source: Glassdoor)
  • According to McKinsey, more diverse companies will outperform their industry peers by over 30%.
  • In the next 10 years, human skills will matter most, with adaptability/flexibility (69%), collaborative skills (67%), and critical thinking (66%) seen as more important than technical or core business skills. (source: PWC)

WHY FOCUS ON TEAMS?

Traditionally, organizations focus on individuals to drive high performance, but research shows that teamwork leads to improved performance, productivity and quality of decision-making. In a complex global environment, developing individual human capital is not enough.

Teams are the core of organizational performance and need dedicated support to align on goals, come together to anticipate challenges, collaborate under stress, and communicate proactively.

Conventional team activities (team building, seminars, workshops, training etc..) require a lot of time and effort to plan but don't show the long-lasting results organizations need. What helps teams learn is analyzing their experiences, reviewing their insights, establishing open communication practices, and creating a united team climate.

This is where Team Coaching comes in: it creates impact, it addresses real-world issues, promotes team growth and allows changes to become habits. Team Coaching uses a sustained series of conversations to build team agility, resilience, belonging and ownership, key attributes to adapting to new challenges that fast-growing companies face in a competitive market.

OUR MODEL

We developed our proprietary diagnostic

Team IMPACT ™ Model,

a psychometrically validated tool to help

global teams explore different aspects of their performance and relationships.

  • Influence
This dimension looks at how the team creates an impact for themseves and the wider organization, as well as how the team can advance their own agenda and persuade the organization and stakeholders in their goals/strategy/mission.
  • Mission Orientation
Here we explore how the team performs and creates results; how the team sees themselves in relation to the organizational strategy and mission and how performance-driven the team is (vs. people/relationship driven).
  • People Orientation
This dimension is about relational dynamics and processes guiding interactions between team members, and describes the relations between individuals and their team. It looks at how people respond to challenges in interpersonal relationships within the team and construct positive interactions and how people-driven the team is (vs. performance-driven).
  • Agility
Agility describes how flexible and adaptable the team is and how learning happens on the team. It explores if the team demonstrates a “growth mindset”, how it respond to challenges and how self-motivated is the team to grow.
  • Culture Orientation
Here we look at how the team creates a culture of inclusion, respect and responds to diversity (e.g. cultural, personality, generational, gender, geographical, i.e. time zones, etc.) with a particular focus on cultural diversity.
  • Team Orientation
This dimension looks at the team’s collective mindset, team spirit, teaming behaviors and shared collaboration practices. It also describes the team’s level of commitment and, helping each other out, being there for each other.

A team coach acts as a mirror, reflecting back to the team their relational patterns, internal processes, how performance and alignment are achieved. Team coaching helps organizations thrive by letting their teams pause and have some honest conversations about what kind of team they are and how they can create a greater impact”.
